Screen Printing Mesh Type
There are various types of screen printing mesh used, depending on the material, number and color of the yarn, and there are several terms used in describing the types. This article will discuss the terms mentioning number of threads.
Provenio uses term T, short for Thread, denoting the number of strings of thread per CM. For example 12T means in 1 cm, there are 12 strands of thread. Provenio provides various screen printing mesh from 12T, 24T, 32T, 47T, 53T, 61T, 77T, 90T, 120T, 150T, 165T, up to 180T. In 12T fabrics, holes in the fabric are very visible like mosquito wire, but on a 180T fabric, holes in the fabric can only be seen with the help of a magnifying glass.

Another term used concerning the number of threads is, mesh count, indicating the number of strands of thread per inch, since 1 inch is 2.54 cm, then the 12T fabric is called mesh 30 (12 x 2.54).
